Day 9: Niagara Falls & Clifton Hill

On our 2nd last day in Ontario, we walked to Niagara Falls! We walked around the area a bit and then we took a boat around the falls and got so wet! It was like a shower!

We also walked across the Rainbow Bridge to the US. The NY State Park had some amazing views from on top of the falls. We went on the Skywheel which is a big Ferris Wheel and had an amazing view of the Falls from above.

Did you know that the water at Niagara Falls falls at 32 feet per second over the Falls, hitting the base of the Falls with 280 tons of force at the American and Bridal Veil Falls and 2,509 tons of force at the Horseshoe Falls.

Day 10

On our final day in Ontario, we did a fun hike in Niagara park. Although it was very hot, it was nice to get outside and see some wildlife which included a snake and some chipmunks! Then, we drove to Niagara-on-the-Lake and got lunch. Our last activity of the day was the butterfly conservatory! It was super fun and I would definitely recommend going because there are some extremely beautiful butterflies and even a turtle!

Did you know the Butterfly Conservatory was built in 1996 and it remains the largest facility of its kind in North America.

This trip was probably the highlight of my summer and I liked it because we had a lot of exciting adventures, but also some time to relax and unwind.
