This spring, we returned to Birch Bay for another year. Although this campground isn’t my favourite place to camp, it makes for an enjoyable “quick across the border” shopping weekend trip.
We started off this excursion by a shopping spree for some new summer clothes at TJ Maxx, fun groceries at Trader Joe’s, and some interesting products at Costco.
We ended the day with a nice dinner at a restaurant that was a few minutes away from the campground called Bay Breeze Restaurant and Bar.
It was right on the beach, so the view and the sunset was spectacular!
I had the sablefish and it was absolutely amazing and I would order it again!
Of course the wine photo is of my parents 😊
Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve Park
Later in the trip, we took a short bike ride to a nearby trail called Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve, and then hiked to a beautiful beach! The hike itself is fairly flat and easy until you hike down to the beach.
The beach was so pretty, with lots of interesting rocks. I would highly recommend doing this hike.
