For May long weekend, we returned back to Deception Pass, this time with my aunt, uncle, cousin, and their adorable dog, Sassy!
We started of our trip to, you guessed it, Trader Joe’s! Our campsite #115 was right next to the path that led to the beach, so me and my cousin ventured there, but when we got to the beach, we were shocked to see that, earlier in the year, a storm had destroyed the parking lot in front of the beach! We still had tons of fun climbing up mini cliffs on the beach and running in the sand.
We mostly hung out in the campground throughout this trip, and me and my cousin paddleboarded around the lake, and built forts on the beach as well.
Since the storm hit and the parking lot was blocked off and no day use was allowed. This made it exceptionally quiet and relaxing, since we usually hear more traffic and noise from people on the beach.
Mom likes taking lots of photos of campsites to make sure we get a good one in the future. Here are her latest photos:
We love going to Deception Pass, and it’s especially fun going with different people, so I would definitely recommend staying there as there is so much to do!
